To provide our clients with professional investigative and analytical consulting and litigation support services relative to the investigation and analysis of hostile fire and explosion incidents and related safety issues by adhering to the scientific method, the intellectural standards of critical thinking and properly evaluating potential competing hypotheses while employing only that science and those methodologies that are generally recognized and accepted by the fire and explosion investigation and analysis and fire and safety engineering technology professions.

Corporate Principal
M.J. Schulz & Associates, Inc. is headed by Michael J. Schulz, an internationally known fire and explosion investigator and analyst and a fire and safety engineering technologist. He has been involved in the investigation and analysis of hostile fire and explosion incidents that have occurred both in the United States and abroad.
Mr. Schulz holds a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree, Magna Cum Laude, from the University of Cincinnati in Fire and Safety Engineering Technology. He also holds certification as a Certified Fire and Explosion Investigator (CFEI), Certified Fire Protection Specialist (CFPS), Certified Vehicle Fire Investigator (CVFI), Certified Canadian Fire Investigator (CCFI) and Certified Fire Investigation Instructor (CFII).
Mr. Schulz has served as a charter member of the National Fire Protection Association's (NFPA) Technical Committee on Fire Investigations and, as such, was one of the original authors of the National Fire Code, NFPA 921, entitled Guide For Fire and Explosion Investigations, which is the recognized and accepted standard of the fire and explosion investigation and analysis profession.
Mr. Schulz has also served on the International Fire Service Training Association's Material Review Committee for its training manual entitled, "Origin and Cause." More recently, he was also selected to serve on that organization's Material Review Committee for its training manual entitled, "Fire Investigator."
Mr. Schulz has been qualified as an expert witness across the country in federal courts, state courts, municipal courts and administrative law hearings.
